Remote vehicle immobilization, also known as remote engine cut-off, lets an authorised operator prevent a vehicle from being restarted after a theft or unauthorised-use event. It is designed to support recovery and fleet control while avoiding unsafe intervention while a vehicle is moving.
Remote immobilization is included in our KH Emerald, KH Ruby and KH Diamond packages from R229 p/m, and can be discussed with our team for personal or business tracking needs.
Remote vehicle immobilization uses installed tracking hardware and an authorised command from the platform or support process. The command is intended to prevent the vehicle from being started again once it is safe to do so, rather than abruptly cutting power while the vehicle is travelling.
In a theft or unauthorised-use case, the priority is to confirm the event, locate the vehicle, and coordinate a safe recovery response. Exact behaviour depends on the installed hardware, vehicle configuration and service setup, so activation rules should be confirmed with K Holdings before publishing operational promises.
